I was sent the "Preliminary Cover Proof" today and I was really pleased with the way it came out! Now I just have to wait for the interior proofs and then the book will be printed!
I've been working on ways to promote and market my book, so any suggestions are extremely welcome! It seems as if my publishing journey is coming to an end, but this (marketing) is only the beginning--and in my opinion the most fun part! Hopefully, it will be as exciting as I am expecting, but it will also be the most difficult. Marketing Checklist:
- Bookmarks
- Business Cards
- Start asking about booksignings, etc.
- Search the Internet for opportunities
- Get the word out!!
So far, nothing is crossed off. Not completely.
I've read that a book is judged by its cover in eight seconds--and the front cover alone gets three seconds to make someone decide to turn it over and read the back. That means the cover has everything to do with sales. Not a surprise, but not at all on my top 10 list of things to worry about...I'll post again as soon as something happens, as I cannot stop thinking about when I will actually see It Wasn't Me! in actual paperback book form... Soooo exciting, but for now, I'll just stick to having ADD. :)

Analisse, the cover is absolutely adorable! I will of course want an autographed copy as soon as your book is published. :)
